About

Reframe is an online magazine dedicated to sustainability. It is a tool for tracking and advancing the innovations and businesses that seek to have a lighter impact on the earth, as well as a resource to help those that fall short on how to improve.

Back-story

The unspoken truth is that in 30 years, if something isn’t changed, we are doomed. The built environment is one of the largest contributors to climate change, with three-quarters of global greenhouse gas emissions because of this energy sector. These emissions, coupled with unimaginable waste, massive deforestation, and rising sea levels and temperatures, will affect millions of people – from living conditions and food shortages to tourism and transit.

Reframe is a place to evolve ideas and generate discussions around sustainability, whether it be mining for rare-earth metals for electric motors, to learning how to design out waste for closed-loop systems, to building with passive house principles.

Background

Hi, I’m Bridget Goldberg. I made Reframe to create a corner of the internet dedicated to sustainable design. For years I wrote about these topics as a journalist, where I learned there is an ever-growing number of designs & technologies that seek to be environmentally sound but no place to discover them easily.
